My research is focused on studying a variety of visual processes, particularly the nature in which low level visual information is encoded to form higher level representations of the world around us.  I also am interested in studying the underlying cortical organization of visual cortex in clinical populations suffering from visual impairments such as amblyopia, glaucoma and macular degeneration through a variety of retinotopic mapping paradigms.  The methods I use for these research interests are primarily fMRI and computational modeling.
