Micha Elsner is a computational linguist, working on cognitive modeling of language acquisition and on models of discourse structure.
 
Discourse structure and coherence: what is the high-level structure of text? How do sentences relate to one another?  Narrative structure: What is the high-level structure of a story intended for entertainment, and how can we represent it? Models of language acquisition: How do babies learn their native language? What evidence do they use?
