Education

  • I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student and began my academic journey at the University of Hong Kong, where I completed my Bachelor's degree with a major in Cognitive Science. Intrigued by the complexities of human cognition and driven by a desire to contribute

My fascination with the ongoing learning process has led me to explore its origins at the beginning of human life. As I delve into the mechanisms underlying concept formation in early development, I employ a multifaceted research approach that combines computational modeling with the promise of incorporating neuroscience data. This methodology allows me to nuancedly parse and interpret the behavioral data collected from young children. Currently, my research is concentrated on the intricate balance between exploration and exploitation, examining how bottom-up attentional processes mediate this fundamental dilemma. This focus aims to shed light on the underlying cognitive mechanisms that guide learning strategies and attention allocation in early childhood.
