My research examines adolescent motivation and school contexts. Specific areas include (a) the relation of motivation to adolescent engagement in risky behaviors; (b) motivation and academic cheating; (c) changes in motivation and achievement across school transitions; and (d) violence perpetrated against teachers in educational settings.
