Research interests:
1) neural circuit plasticity in the retina, including how the circadian (24-hour) clock in the retina modulates neuronal light responses on a daily basis; and
2) encoding of visual stimuli into neuronal light responses, including how retinal neurons perform computations so that a type of direction-selective neuron responds to objects moving in one direction but not to objects moving in the opposite direction.

I am interested in all aspects of brain function, including cognitive neuroscience.
