I am interested in what teachers know about how to teach, and the ways they connect that to knowledge. In particular, what knowledge transforms a student’s thinking about the Middle East? About those they identify with the Middle East? What knowledge about West Asia, North Africa or Turkey can change the way a student thinks about the world and her own society?
