My main focus these days is on large language models and their role in understanding how children grasp and use language. My journey into this field has been shaped by a diverse range of projects—from studying the psychological impacts of social media to exploring the emotional effects of music with Mozart’s compositions.
What excites me the most is figuring out how children can learn so much from so little—like how they manage to pick up language with surprisingly minimal input. This curiosity is a thread that’s woven through all my research, from my early work on anxiety's effect on memory to my more recent investigations into how memes can aid learning. Now, at the Cognitive Development Lab, I channel these insights into understanding the efficiency of language acquisition in children, aiming to harness the power of computational tools to support and enhance their learning.
