As a neuroscientist, my research focuses on understanding how the brain combines and processes sensory information - with a primary interest in how the brain processes information from the vestibular system - the part of our inner ear that provides our sense of spatial orientation and balance. I am interested in both cognition (e.g. vestibular perception) and meta-cognition (i.e., vestibular confidence). I also am a co-author for a popular Sensation and Perception undergraduate textbook as well as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Neurophysiology.
