I am interested in memory, especially a) how distinct memories of individual events can conspire together to allow for generalization, and b) parallels between artificial, neuroscientific, and cognitive descriptions of memory and inference. In addition, I consider general issues in cognitive modeling such as model mimicry, dynamic interaction of model components, and the emergence of stable abstractions from lower-level dynamics.
