Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I work primarily in theoretical linguistics, with an emphasis on categorial grammars, type theories, and logics. At present my work centers on agreement, ellipsis, displacement, and their respective interfaces in natural language syntax and morphology. This work is primarily developed with regards to phenomena in English as well as Kinyarwanda, though I am now turning to French as a further language of study. I have an ongoing interest in the relations between levels of description of these phenomena and their instantiation in both psycholinguistic and computational models.
